The heart of Open Meadow Middle School's program lies in developing a positive self-concept and respectful relationships with others. Open Meadow Middle School has high expectations for student attendance, academic achievement, and behavior; we provide the supports necessary for success. Ultimately, Open Meadow Middle School hopes to better prepare students for a high school program. One way we do this is by requiring students to earn their promotion by acquiring “qualifiers” in each content area. Qualifiers are similar to credits and reflect the number of classes passed. A set number of qualifiers are required to move to the next grade level. Promotion from Open Meadow qualifies students for admission to any Oregon public high school. Students are also working on meeting the 8th grade benchmarks toward a CIM.
