When Alessandro Fasani, armed with his mother's recipes, opened the doors of his restaurant March 1, 1976, he began a Salem tradition of fine dining that has only improved with time.
Many of the same outstanding culinary delights he transported from Rome to West Salem, then briefly to Pringle Park Plaza, and finally to the current Downtown Salem location at 120 Commercial Street NE, have survived unchanged.
